Campaign to Support Climate Solutions Focused on Health during Earth Month

In April 2021, the Yale Center on Climate Change and Health (YCCCH) launched an Earth Month Giving Campaign to support health-centered climate solutions. This campaign marks the first matching donation initiative for YCCCH, which was established in 2015 at the Yale School of Public Health (YSPH) to address the adverse impacts of climate change through research, education, public health practice, and policy development.

The importance of protecting human health as a driving force for climate action was emphasized by Dr. Robert Dubrow, MD, professor of epidemiology and director of YCCCH. As the impact of climate change becomes increasingly alarming, the Earth Month Giving Campaign aims to boost the center’s focus on human health in addressing one of the world’s greatest challenges.

The campaign offers a dollar-for-dollar match for the first $20,000 in donations thanks to the generosity of anonymous donors who believe in prioritizing human health in combating climate change. This support not only contributes to the cause but also enhances hope for a better future.
