Ascension Parish Government partners with Our Lady of the Lake Health to reintroduce Health Unit and Counseling Center.

On March 19, Ascension Parish government and Our Lady of the Lake Health celebrated the reopening of services offered by the parish health unit and counseling center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. These services are an integral part of Healthy Ascension, a collaborative effort between the parish government and the hospital to provide improved access to healthcare services for residents.

The health unit and counseling center offer a range of services, including vaccinations for adults and children, dietitian counseling, an on-site pharmacy, mobile services, and mental and behavioral health services for individuals of all ages. These services encompass individual and family counseling, evaluations, and medical management.

Ascension Parish President Clint Cointment emphasized the significance of the ribbon cutting, stating that it symbolizes a new chapter for the health unit and counseling center. This new beginning will see an expansion of these facilities’ existing services to better support the physical and mental well-being of the people of Ascension Parish.

Our Lady of the Lake Health President Chuck Spicer expressed his pride in partnering with Ascension Parish government to enhance the facilities’ resources and provide quality care to those seeking services at the health unit and counseling center. Patients can also benefit from access to the hospital’s online patient portal, MyChart, for added convenience.
