Cowboys Sign Former NFL Player Damien Wilson After Suspension: Filling Linebacker Depth”.

Cowboys set to add LB Damien Wilson to roster

The Cowboys have announced the signing of linebacker Damien Wilson, who had not been part of the league for most of last season. Wilson was suspended for four games in 2021 for violating the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy. He last appeared in a game during Week 18 of the 2022 season with the Panthers.

Damien Wilson began his NFL career as a fourth-round pick of the Cowboys in 2015 and spent his first four seasons with Dallas before moving on to play for Kansas City, Jacksonville, and Carolina. The Cowboys were looking to add depth to their linebacker position and two days after drafting Marist Liufau in the third round, they decided to sign Wilson. He is now one of four outside free agents that the team has added this offseason, joining Ezekiel Elliott, Eric Kendricks, and Royce Freeman.
