Curry Leads Warriors to Win, Strengthening Playoff Hopes in Western Conference

Warriors Secure 4th Consecutive Victory by Defeating Wembanyama and Spurs

Stephen Curry led the Golden State Warriors to a 117-113 victory over the San Antonio Spurs, securing their fourth straight win and holding on to the final play-in spot in the Western Conference. With two games ahead of Houston, the Warriors are looking strong in their pursuit of a spot in the playoffs.

Victor Wembanyama had an impressive game for the Spurs, scoring 32 points and grabbing nine rebounds. However, Wembanyama was called for a crucial over-the-back foul in the closing seconds, allowing Draymond Green to seal the victory with a free throw.

Green finished with 21 points and 11 rebounds for the Warriors, while Klay Thompson added 13 points. Despite missing several key players due to injuries, the Spurs received strong performances from their bench players, including Cedi Osman, Zach Collins, and Sandro Mamukelashvili.

In the third quarter, Golden State took control of the game, outscoring San Antonio 37-21 to turn a deficit into a lead entering the final period. The Spurs set a franchise record for 3-pointers in a season during the game, hitting 17 of 43 attempts.

The Spurs are now 18-57 on the season and have seven games remaining to avoid finishing with the worst record in franchise history. Next up for Golden State is hosting Dallas while San Antonio travels to Denver for their next games.
