Dating Apps Exposed: Study Reveals Only Three Apps Approved for Data Protection and Privacy

Study finds that 80% of dating apps may share or sell users’ personal data

In a study conducted by the Mozilla Foundation, it was found that 80% of dating apps have the ability to share or sell personal information published by users in their profiles for advertising purposes. However, only three out of 25 dating apps analyzed were approved for data protection and privacy – Lex, eHarmony, and Happn. These apps were found to do a slightly better job of protecting personal information compared to others.
