The Detroit High School Sports Awards, brought to you by Detroit Area Honda Dealers, have announced the nominees for the Boys and Girls Skier of the Year awards. These prestigious accolades will be presented during a live show on June 18 at The Fillmore Detroit, in partnership with the U.S. Army. This event is just one part of a nine-month recognition initiative that honors student-athletes, coaches, and teams in the greater Detroit region who participate in Michigan High School Athletic Association sports.
At the awards ceremony, nominees will be celebrated alongside players of the year from 27 other sports. In addition to these accolades, special awards will also be given for outstanding on- and off-field achievements such as Courage Award, Coaches of the Year, Teams of the Year, and Boys and Girls Athlete of the Year. All nominated athletes who RSVP will receive complimentary tickets to the event thanks to sponsors. Nominated athletes can register for the show on the website while guests can purchase tickets online.
The nominees for Boys Skier of the Year are Jackson Bliss, Braden Janczarek, Pierson Kuhn, John Popov, Creighton Studt, and Anthony Trovato. For Girls Skier of the Year, we have Emma Borgula, Finley DeCubber, Katie Fodale, Bianca Srock, Maren Studt and Cameron Thomas.
