DEWA presents innovative projects at the World Future Energy Summit

At the World Future Energy Summit 2024, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is showcasing its most prominent projects in the renewable and clean energy sector, smart initiatives, and efforts to advance sustainable development. Their participation in Hall No. 5 (Energy Hall) highlights their commitment to promoting the transition towards a green economy and solidifying Dubai’s position as a global future energy capital.

One of the main projects highlighted is the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, the largest solar energy complex in one location in the world. With a production capacity set to exceed 5,000 megawatts by 2030, the complex plays a crucial role in achieving UAE’s Climate Neutrality 2050 goals. The platform also showcases the latest solar technologies used in the project, including concentrated solar energy and bifacial photovoltaic solar panels.

Another featured project is DEWA’s seawater desalination plant using reverse osmosis (SWRO) technology, powered by solar energy. This plant can produce 40 million gallons of desalinated water per day, contributing to sustainability efforts in water production.

Visitors can also learn about DEWA’s green hydrogen project at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, their “Green Charger” initiative for electric vehicles, and their Innovation Center aimed at fostering a culture of innovation and sustainability. The model of the Al Sheraa Building, designed to be the tallest, largest, and smartest zero-energy government building in the world, is also on display.

DEWA’s presence at the summit serves as a testament to their commitment to sustainable development, innovation, and advancing clean energy solutions. Their projects and initiatives showcased demonstrate their dedication to creating a more sustainable future and promoting green technologies.
