Dignity Health and Aetna reach agreement on updated contract

After a brief stint of being dropped from Aetna’s network, Dignity Health has recently come to terms with the health insurance giant on a new multi-year contract. This agreement ensures that Aetna members in California, Arizona, and Nevada will maintain in-network access to Dignity’s services, facilities, and providers. The contract became effective on April 1st, meaning that all Aetna members who received Dignity services after that date are now covered.

Dignity Health president of Medical Foundation, Robert Quinn MD, expressed his satisfaction with the agreement by emphasizing its importance for patients. According to him, this partnership enables patients to access high-quality care locally. He reiterated that the goal of working with Aetna has always been to meet the needs of patients both now and in the future, ensuring that Aetna members receive value-driven care from Dignity Health.

Cathy Hughes, Aetna’s vice president and chief network officer for the Western and South Central region also expressed her happiness about reaching an agreement with Dignity Health. She highlighted Aetna’s commitment to providing its members with access to quality, convenient and affordable care through its network of providers. She stressed how crucial it is for the continued partnership between Dignity Health and Aetna in meeting the healthcare needs of their members.

Aetna members are encouraged to contact the number on their insurance card if they have any questions regarding this new contract between Dignity Health and Aetna.
