Discover the Inner Workings of Your Body: CMC Unveils Advancing Health Exhibit

New Permanent Exhibit on ‘Advancing Health’ at Cincinnati Museum Center to Highlight Self-Care – NKyTribune

Elizabeth Pierce, president & CEO of Cincinnati Museum Center, is excited to announce the upcoming opening of Advancing Health, a new permanent exhibit presented by Mayfield Brain & Spine. This innovative exhibit will be housed in the Museum of Natural History & Science and aims to promote a deeper understanding and appreciation of health in the region.

The exhibit will feature nine sections, each focusing on a different body system. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the human body at a cellular level and from a holistic perspective. By understanding how the body works and how to keep it healthy, visitors will be encouraged to take better care of themselves and possibly even pursue a career in caring for others.

Advancing Health is designed around nine major body systems, including the heart, blood, lungs, muscles, bones, digestion, immune system, nervous system, and mental health. Interactive elements, videos, historic innovations, and the latest research will provide an immersive experience for visitors. The exhibit is made possible through the Champion More Curiosity campaign and aims to educate and inspire the next generation of individuals who will shape the future of health and care.

Pierce describes Advancing Health as an exhibit that allows visitors to zoom inside their own bodies to see how they function and how technology can help when systems fail. The exhibit is designed to encourage visitors to listen to their own bodies and take better care of themselves. It also hopes to inspire them to pursue careers in caring for others.

By opening up conversations and providing engaging experiences around health, CMC hopes to foster a community that prioritizes wellness and wellbeing. The exhibit will be open this July at CMC’s Museum of Natural History & Science
