Discovering the Wonders of Animal Science: A Fun-Filled Educational Experience for Youth and Adults”.

KRVN Radio Stations and KAMI Present: Animal Science Discovery Day

Youth aged 8-18 are invited to attend the annual Animal Science Discover Day on May 29th, Wednesday from 9:00am-3:30pm in Curtis, NE at NCTA Campus. This event is perfect for young people interested in the livestock industry and gaining valuable life skills.

During the day, participants will attend seven different workshops taught by animal science teachers. The workshops cover a range of topics including meat science, calving simulation, horse IV, Livestock skillathon, quiz bowl, Zoonosis, Animal welfare and Ag Advocacy. Participants will be divided into junior and senior tracts to allow for more in-depth learning.

The sessions are designed to be fun and relaxed while also providing important educational opportunities. Parents and other adults who are interested in the livestock industry or educating youth can also register and participate in the event.

Registration for the event is open until May 22nd with a cost of $15 per participant. Late registrations will be accepted at a rate of $20 per participant. Nebraska Extension educators, UNL Animal Science professors and NCTA teachers will lead the workshops, providing valuable knowledge and insight into the industry.
