Dive into the Deep with Heal the Bay’s Aquarium Science Camp: A Hands-On Learning Experience for Kids

Children Explore Nearby Bodies of Water at Aquarium Science Camp

Santa Monica, California-based nonprofit organization Heal the Bay offers children an exciting opportunity to learn about science and explore water systems through its Aquarium Science Camp. The camp, which runs from June 24th to July 26th, is designed to provide a hands-on learning experience for kids to study oceanography, discover the natural world and develop their passion for marine science.

During the camp, children will have the chance to interact with live animals in the Aquarium, observe beach ecosystems, play games, and become responsible ocean stewards. Each week of the camp focuses on different ocean environments, allowing kids to broaden their understanding of the fascinating underwater world.

According to Kelly Kelly, Associate Director of Aquarium Education at Heal the Bay, “The camp provides engaging experiences that allow children to make their own observations while having fun.” Children will dig in the sand, discover sand crabs and participate in activities that encourage a love for both science and the ocean. The camp environment allows them to ask questions, explain their findings and share information with their peers.

The Heal the Bay Aquarium located on Santa Monica Pier welcomes children entering kindergarten through eighth grade to participate in this unique camp experience. Both daily and weekly rates are available for registration.
