Empowering Africa: The African Business Conference at Bentley University

Highlights of the African Business Conference: Opportunities for Investment and Growth in Africa

The African Business Conference, organized by the Bentley African Student Association (ASA), was a massive success this year. With 10 speakers instead of the previous three, the event drew attendees from various institutions, including Tufts University student Kristen Barth. Barth was particularly moved by Jean-Paul Adam’s keynote address on policy-making, international collaboration, and fostering unity among African nations. She expressed her gratitude to the ASA team for putting together such an impactful event and renewed her commitment to contributing meaningfully to the development of her homeland, Ghana, and Africa as a whole.

The success of the conference can be attributed to the dedication of the ASA student teams responsible for planning various aspects of the event. They took on tasks like budgeting, securing speakers and sponsors, arranging facilities, and promoting the conference. In the early stages of planning, they met with Bentley President E. LaBrent Chrite, who offered support and encouragement.

Danquah expressed appreciation for Bentley leadership’s support in hosting the conference. She highlighted that having President Chrite’s backing made it much easier to organize such an event. Danquah believes that creating a platform for conversations not only among students but also with alumni and professionals is essential for future success. With this support from Bentley leadership and others like President Chrite’s backing, Danquah believes that the conference has significant growth potential in the future.

The ASA team had worked tirelessly to make sure that everything ran smoothly during the conference. From setting up registration stations to coordinating catering services and managing logistics operations, they had put their hearts into making sure that everything went off without a hitch.

During his keynote address, Jean-Paul Adam emphasized on how policy decisions made in one country could have far-reaching consequences throughout Africa. He encouraged attendees to work collaboratively towards building stronger relationships between African nations.

Kristen Barth was impressed by Jean-Paul Adam’s message about unity among African nations and how it could pave way for greater economic growth in Africa as a continent.

In conclusion, Danquah expressed her gratitude to all those involved in organizing and managing this year’s African Business Conference at Bentley University.

She believed that with continued support from Bentley leadership and other stakeholders alike, this conference would continue to grow exponentially in future years.
