SEED Center to Host Various Events in Celebration of National Small Business Development Week

The Southwest Economic Development Alliance is hosting a series of events in Lake Charles, Louisiana as part of National Small Business Development Week. This week celebrates the hard work, dedication, and economic contributions of small businesses across the country.

On Monday, April 29 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the Incubator of SWLA Showcase will feature keynote speaker David Minton, owner of Pentangeli Row Development Group and Cypress Group. He will discuss starting a business, growing a business, and managing success. Food will be provided, and RSVP is required.

The following day on Tuesday, April 30 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the Business Roundtable on “Money: Finding, Managing and Growing this Resource in a Small Business Environment” will take place at no cost to the public.

Wednesday May 1st from 5:30 pm to 8 pm sees the Business Roundtable on “Successfully Recruiting, Training and Retaining Talent in Southwest Louisiana – It Can Be Done!” Moderated by Incubator Program Participant and owner of 3 Light Services Amy Vincent, this event is also free to attend with panelists including Adam Carter from Prosperity Management and Christa Girard from RECON participating in discussion about talent acquisition for small businesses in the region
