Encompass Health reveals initial proposal for construction of a 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in San Antonio

Encompass Health Corp. announced plans to build a 50-bed rehabilitation hospital in San Antonio. The hospital will be located in Westover Hills and will cater to patients recovering from various illnesses and injuries such as strokes, neurological disorders, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and amputations. It will offer 24-hour nursing care, along with physical, occupational, and speech therapies to help patients regain functional ability and quality of life.

The facility will include private patient rooms, a therapy gym with advanced technologies, activities of daily living suite, dining room, pharmacy, and therapy courtyard.
