Escalating Financial Losses for Goat Registry Owner due to USPS Delays and Lack of Response

Owner of small business in Jefferson County claims that USPS problems have resulted in over $1,000 in losses

Tara Lawrence, the owner of a goat registry, has faced financial losses due to lost paperwork sent through the United States Postal Service (USPS). The majority of her business is spread across Canada, California, Florida, Georgia, and New Hampshire. Despite USPS only causing issues twice in 15 years, Tara relies on it daily to deliver important documents for various shows and fairs.

Recently, lost documents started in February and are impacting her business financially as it operates based on cash flow. Despite multiple attempts to reach out to USPS via phone calls and online, Tara and Karen have received no response. The eight lost packages with USPS amount to over $1,200 in costs. Tara will need to reissue these documents to her customers at an additional expense.

WBRC has contacted USPS and they have assured that someone will reach out to Tara regarding the mail delays. However, updates on this issue will not be provided until WBRC receives confirmation from USPS.
