Eric Coleman, with over 20 years of experience in the industry, has been appointed as the new President of Business Insurance at Farmers Insurance. In this role, he will report directly to CEO Raul Vargas and be responsible for leading commercial underwriting, product development, strategy, finance, and identifying new market opportunities for the Farmers business insurance team.
Coleman previously spent over a decade at Nationwide where he held the position of Senior Vice President of Small Business Insurance. In this role, he oversaw a diverse national product portfolio and managed regional operations, including underwriting, processing, and sales. He also held senior leadership roles at Travelers Insurance and Allied Insurance.
Vargas praised Coleman’s leadership skills and expressed his enthusiasm for Coleman’s appointment. He stated that Coleman has a proven track record of contributing to an organization’s bottom line and reshaping go-to-market strategies. Vargas highlighted that Coleman brings deep expertise to the team and will be valuable in strengthening and taking advantage of business insurance opportunities at Farmers Insurance.
