Exploring History, One Centrifuge Ride at a Time: Johnsville Centrifuge Hosting Titanic-Themed Fundraising Dinner

Fundraiser with Titanic Theme Hosted by Johnsville Centrifuge and Science Museum

The Johnsville Centrifuge and Science Museum in Warminster is hosting a Titanic-themed fundraising dinner at The Spring Mill Country Club on April 6. The museum, famous for training astronauts, is organizing this unique event to connect history from beneath the sea to the stars.

The dinner will feature the Titanic’s menu from the night it sank. Bensalem businessman Fred Hagen, an expert in aviation and underwater exploration who has visited the Titanic wreck, will be the guest speaker. Hagen’s experiences include a mission to the Titanic wreck aboard the submersible Titan.

Proceeds from the fundraising dinner will support the Naval Air Development Center at Johnsville and possibly go towards restoring the original centrifuge gondola used in astronaut training. Tickets for the event, which aims to merge historic tales of exploration and innovation, can be purchased online.

Those interested in experiencing the thrill of the Johnsville Centrifuge can take a ride at the Naval Air Development Center in Warminster, PA. To learn more about the museum and its fundraiser, check out the Bucks County Courier Times.
