The Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) has recently launched a podcast called Health Connect, which is focused on the relationships between their services and the communities they serve. This podcast will feature new physicians/providers, highlight advancements in technology, simplify complex healthcare concepts, and give insights into the healthcare offerings in Northwest Ohio.
The first episode of Health Connect was released on April 18th, and episodes are approximately 20 minutes long. It can be accessed on major podcasting platforms as well as the BVHS website. The series is co-hosted by Eric Proctor, chief people officer at BVHS, and Sam Sprunger, a Bluffton podcaster. This unique perspective comes from both inside and outside the healthcare industry.
Proctor brings his knowledge of the BVHS culture and career opportunities to the show while sharing stories of patients, associates, and medical staff within the organization. Sprunger provides a layperson’s perspective, bringing curiosity and a desire to help listeners better understand the world of healthcare.
According to Proctor, Health Connect will showcase BVHS as a connected care network that caters to individuals of all ages and needs. He is excited about sharing the many great stories within the organization through this podcast so that community members can get to know the exceptional people and stories that make BVHS special.
