Families at B.L. Miller Elementary recently had a unique experience at a family engagement night, where they got to explore their curiosity of space in a mobile planetarium known as the “Sky Dome”. Over 200 participants lined up to enter the inflatable planetarium and embarked on guided tours through the universe, provided by Mobile Ed Productions.

The event was made possible by the sponsorship of United Way’s Success After 6 program and Jill Dennis, the family engagement coordinator for Sebring Local Schools and Success After 6 coordinator, expressed gratitude for the collaborative effort that made it all possible. Students and families had a blast exploring space, learning about the sun, moon, stars, and universe from the comfort of the gym.

Sebring’s Partners In Education (P.I.E.) supported the event by offering food for purchase, with proceeds going towards future activities and events for Sebring students. Families also participated in bingo games in between tour sessions, with winners receiving Oh WOW! STEM Sak bundles.

One lucky student won a grand prize National Geographic 70m Sky View Telescope, provided by SA6. Mobile Ed Productions specializes in live, educational entertainment, assemblies, and workshops that enhance the learning experience for attendees.
