Fisker CEO Reveals Talks with Four Automakers as Company Faces Potential Bankruptcy

Four Car Manufacturers in Discussions to Acquire Failing Startup

Fisker is currently in discussions with four automakers about a potential acquisition, according to CEO Henrik Fisker. However, the company has also warned that it may go out of business this year despite these talks. The identities of the automakers and the duration of the due diligence process have not been disclosed.

In addition to these discussions, Fisker has been working with Deutsche Bank to find a buyer. A recent regulatory filing indicated that the company only had $54 million in cash equivalents as of April 16, which may not be enough to meet its obligations. This news follows a failed possible deal with Nissan earlier this year.

Fisker’s all-hands meeting followed a warning to investors that bankruptcy protection could be on the horizon if the company doesn’t improve its liquidity in the next 30 days. The company is open to other offers while working with potential suitors. As of now, Fisker’s future remains uncertain and they are actively seeking a solution to secure their financial standing.
