French Athlete Breaks Eiffel Tower Rope Climbing Record in Just 18 Minutes: A Feat of Determination and Strength

Athlète français tente de battre le record du monde de grimpe à la corde

On Wednesday, French athlete Anouk Garnier attempted to break the rope climbing record at the Eiffel Tower. She climbed a 110m rope to the second floor and achieved her goal in just 18 minutes. Garnier expressed disbelief at her accomplishment, stating that it was a crazy achievement. She described the climb as a personal challenge, focusing on pushing herself to reach the top.

Despite not yet being officially validated by Guinness World Records, Garnier remains proud of her accomplishment. The current men’s record for rope climbing is held by South African Thomas Van Tonder at 110m, while the women’s record is held by Ida Mathilde from Denmark at 26m. However, Garnier’s determination and dedication to her training paid off as she successfully conquered the challenging climb.

Garnier faced both physical and mental obstacles head-on and ultimately achieved her goal of breaking the rope climbing record at the iconic Eiffel Tower. Her accomplishment is a testament to her strength, resilience, and commitment to pushing her limits in pursuit of greatness.

In addition to being a two-time world obstacle course champion, Garnier has trained for a year prior to this climb. Her hard work and dedication paid off as she successfully broke the rope climbing record at one of the most famous landmarks in the world.
