French Students Protest for Gaza: Inspired by New York and California, but Feeling Powerless, They Keep Fighting

Young activists in France protest in solidarity with Palestinians: “Feeling powerless in the face of Gaza pains us”

In Paris, a group of students have been occupying French universities in protest of Israeli universities and the situation in Gaza. Though they face criticism and opposition, they remain determined to continue their fight for what they believe in. Despite being new to protesting, they are hopeful that their voices will eventually be heard like those of their counterparts in New York and California.

However, the students feel powerless as they watch images of Gaza and want to make a difference. They believe that their generation does not want to have blood on their hands and wish there were more people joining them in France. While inspired by the mobilization in the United States, they also wish there were more people taking up their cause.

Despite these challenges, the students have managed to organize demonstrations and blockades at universities across France. They are working towards a common goal of protesting against Israeli universities and raising awareness about the situation in Gaza. The Union of Jewish Students of France has set up a dialogue table nearby, aimed at promoting understanding between pro-Palestinian and pro-Israeli students. Both sides express a willingness to find peace and recognize the suffering of all parties involved.

The students in France are committed to making their voices heard and bringing attention to the issues that matter most to them. They condemn violence and terrorism on both sides and seek to raise awareness about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Whether pro-Palestinian or pro-Israeli, they share a common goal of peace and understanding.
