From Basketball to Ice: Taylor Heise’s Journey to Representing Team USA in the IIHF Women’s World Championship

Taylor Heise Represents Team USA at IIHF Women’s World Championship

Taylor Heise is thrilled to be representing Team USA in the IIHF Women’s World Championship in Utica. She has always been passionate about hockey, ever since she chose the ice over basketball at a young age. Being the first overall pick in the PWHL Draft last year, she has had a successful season scoring four goals and seven assists in just 14 games.

Growing up in a basketball family, Heise had to forge her own path in hockey, but it was worth it. She fell in love with the sport and recognizes the hard work and dedication that has gone into growing women’s sports over the years. This will be her sixth World Championship and her third with the senior team.

Heise is grateful for the opportunity to play hockey and learn from others who have done so much for the sport. Being part of Team USA and competing in the World Championship is a dream come true for her. She is excited to bring her skills and dedication to the ice as she represents her country in this upcoming tournament.
