Boston fans were amazed by Swayman’s impressive goaltending, but Shrewsbury native Jack Quinlivan wasn’t surprised. Having been teammates with Swayman for three years at the University of Maine, Quinlivan knew firsthand just how talented Swayman was and could be.
Quinlivan recalled their time together at Maine, where Swayman’s skill and work ethic stood out. He described Swayman as a phenomenal player who always excelled in both mental and physical preparation. Quinlivan had high expectations for Swayman, based on his experiences playing alongside him in college.
Now, as the Bruins face off against the Florida Panthers in the second round of the playoffs, they will be counting on Swayman to continue his impressive goaltending performance. With Swayman between the pipes, the Bruins will be looking to ride his hot streak through another round of postseason action.
