The winners of the World Nature Photography awards have been announced, with Tracey Lund from the UK claiming the top prize for her stunning image of gannets hunting beneath the waves off the Shetland Islands. From action shots of zebras being chased by a cheetah to playful moments between oxpeckers and buffalos, the competition showcased the beauty and rawness of nature from around the globe.

Some of the winning categories included Behavior – Mammals, won by Alex Brackx for ‘Those last seconds’, Underwater, won by Andy Schmid for ‘Crowd control’, and Black and White, won by Richard Li for ‘Graceful turn’. The competition also recognized photographers like Nicolas Remy, Pavlos Evangelidis, John Seager, Miki Spitzer, Roy Wiesner, Ivan Pedretti, and Celia Kujala for their exceptional work in capturing the beauty and diversity of nature.

In addition to the winners, there were also second-place winners in categories like Invertebrates, Black and White, and Birds. The competition highlighted the incredible talent of photographers in capturing the wonders of the natural world and the importance of conservation efforts to protect these precious environments.
