As spring approaches, one of Columbia University’s most talented and diverse students is set to graduate from the School of Professional Studies with a master’s degree in Sports Management. Mo’ne Davis, a former Little League Baseball pitcher and college softball player, has made her mark on campus with her impressive career and passion for sports and journalism.

Mo’ne Davis began her journey to Columbia by earning an undergraduate degree in journalism from Hampton University in Virginia. However, it was the COVID-19 pandemic that prompted her to reevaluate her future and focus on sports management to gain insight into the business side of sports. Studying at Columbia has been an exciting experience for Mo’ne, who enjoys studying outdoors with friends on the grass in front of Butler Library when the weather is nice.

Exploring New York City with no set plan, hopping on the 1 train downtown, and discovering new places have been some of her favorite urban activities. Mo’ne plans to savor every moment of her final semester at Columbia before she embarks on her next adventure.
