From Nike to Converse: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Signs Multi-Year Shoe Extension Deal with Creative Director Role

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander commits to being the leading face of Converse Basketball by signing extension

Converse Basketball has recently signed Oklahoma City Thunder guard, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, to a “multi-year” shoe extension deal. As the face of the brand, Gilgeous-Alexander will provide input and ideas for future products as he has been named the Creative Director for Converse. A signature shoe designed by him is set to be released in 2025.

Gilgeous-Alexander initially signed with Nike when he was drafted in 2018 but later made the move to Converse due to the exclusiveness of the brand and its opportunity for him to express himself both on and off the court in various ways. The series between the Thunder and either the New Orleans Pelicans or Sacramento Kings as the top seed in the Western Conference is set to begin on Sunday night, and fans eagerly await his performance on the court.
