From Wellness Educators to Future Professionals: The Impactful Roles of Bella Verheyen and Alyssa Ott at Lynn University

The Addition of Lynn’s Snyder Center for Health and Wellness Enhances Campus Community

As wellness educators at the Snyder Center, students like Bella Verheyen and Alyssa Ott have the opportunity to make a positive impact on their peers and the Lynn University campus community. They schedule classes, events, and programs while gaining valuable skills from their on-campus job experience.

Verheyen, a criminal justice major with aspirations of going to law school or joining the FBI, has found that her role as a wellness educator has helped her manage stress and develop personally and professionally for her future career. She works in the Snyder Center’s Student Wellness and Health Promotions office and hosts events like Wellness Wednesdays.

Ott, a psychology major planning to pursue a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology, has been working as a wellness educator for three years. She encourages her peers to take advantage of the free resources available on campus to help improve their overall well-being. Both Verheyen and Ott believe that their roles as wellness educators have been invaluable in preparing them for their future careers.
