Fugro’s net-zero target covers all three emission scopes, with the ultimate goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across the value chain by 2050. In 2020, Fugro introduced a roadmap to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2035 for scope 1 and 2. The company is actively working on initiatives like rolling out uncrewed vessel fleets and converting vessels to use green methanol. Their near-term targets include reducing absolute emissions by 54.6% by 2033, sourcing renewable electricity, reducing fuel-related emissions, and aligning suppliers’ targets with a science-based methodology.
Looking towards the long-term, Fugro aims to reduce emissions by at least 90% by 2050 across all scopes. The roadmap includes a plan to decrease emission intensity from their vessels by 25% by 2027 and achieve net-zero carbon emission operations for scope 1 and 2 by 2035.
