GBM Works and Ecowende Partner for Quieter, Less Invasive Offshore Wind Installations with Advanced Vibrojet Technology

GBM Collaborates with Ecowende to Implement Noise Reduction Technology

Ecowende and GBM Works have recently signed a contract for the installation of three monopiles in the Hollandse Kust West (HKW) Site VI offshore wind farm. This project will utilize GBM’s noise reducing technology, known as the Vibrojet. The Vibrojet technique involves combining vibrations on the top of the monopile with GBM’s jetting technology inside the monopile. This unique combination helps to reduce resistance during installation, making the process quieter and minimizing the impact on marine life.

Marcelo Werneck, business development director at GBM Works, expressed excitement about their involvement in the Hollandse Kust West project. Werneck highlighted the significance of showcasing the value of Vibrojet technology through this installation of three monopiles. This project represents GBM Works’ entry into the offshore installation market and demonstrates their commitment to supporting Ecowende’s ecological goals.

The scope of the contract includes engineering and manufacturing of jetting systems, as well as providing offshore installation support. GBM Works is collaborating closely with Ecowende’s partners including Van Oord, SIF, and Ramboll to execute this project successfully. In addition to HKW project, Ecowende is also supporting GBM Works in their development project SIMPLE III by offering funds and testing opportunity in HKW wind farm.

GBM Works is excited about this opportunity to demonstrate their expertise in offshore wind energy and contribute to a sustainable future for our planet.
