Advancing AI and Cloud with Google Cloud Next 2024: Introducing the Potential of Gemini 1.5 Pro

At the Google Cloud Next ’24 event, Google unveiled a series of new artificial intelligence advancements aimed at businesses, developers, and content creators. One of the most significant highlights was the introduction of important updates related to the Gemini model and notable improvements in AI for developers and end-users.

Google announced a range of new options to access various AI models, including Gemini 1.5 Pro with advanced capabilities and Image 2.0, which can convert text to images in real-time. Additionally, Vertex AI was enhanced to allow organizations to customize natural language models with their own data, expanding its functionality.

Google also showcased new ways to improve infrastructure for artificial intelligence, introducing AI Hypercomputer, a supercomputer that uses advanced technology to train AI models more efficiently, and Google Axion, a new processor that delivers better performance while consuming less power.

Moreover, Google Cloud’s AI now offers features that integrate with Google Search and data from apps like Workday and Salesforce, simplifying the development of applications. Additionally, Gemini Code Assist and Gemini Cloud Assist are available as a trial version to streamline the process of writing code and managing apps.

Finally, as part of its commitment to advancing artificial intelligence technology and making it more accessible to a broader audience, Gemini is incorporated into applications available in Latin America as a preview (currently only in English).
