The Xplosion All-Stars, a Jamestown-based cheerleading team, recently traveled to Virginia Beach for their national competition and emerged victorious. The Mini team received a paid bid and finished in second place, while the Youth team also earned a paid bid and took first place, becoming Youth National Champions. However, it was the Senior team that truly shone, winning the Best Tumbling Award and being crowned overall Grand National Champions for the second consecutive year.
The Senior team consists of 12 athletes from Western New York, ranging in age from 12-18. Their outstanding achievement was rewarded with jackets, rings, blankets, and a crossbody bag. In addition to their national titles, the Xplosion All-Stars offer competition cheerleading, cheer technique classes, tumbling, and performance teams as seen on their Facebook page.
