Growing Sustainability: Indiana’s Recycling Market Development Program Seeks Grant Proposals

Funding now accessible to enhance Indiana’s recycling economy

The Indiana Recycling Market Development Program (RMDP) is currently seeking grant proposals to fund recycling projects in the state. Proposals are being accepted from businesses, local governments, solid waste management districts, higher education institutions, and nonprofit organizations.

The RMDP grants are focused on sustainability and understanding the changing economy for recyclers. Eligible applicants must demonstrate economic impact by achieving at least one of the following outcomes: an increase in the amount of recyclable material collected or used, a reduction in municipal solid waste sent for final disposal, or improved partnerships with communities.

To apply for an RMDP grant, interested parties must submit their proposal by June 13. Proposals should focus on sustainability and how grant funding can help to expand recycling in Indiana through increased markets, manufacturing capacity, and job creation.

For more information on eligibility requirements, project guidelines, and how to apply for an RMDP grant, interested parties can visit the RMDP website or contact the program directly at 800-988-7901 or email [RMDPGrants@idem.IN.gov](mailto:RMDPGrants@idem.IN.gov).
