In other sports news, Penn State Altoona Athletics announced that Tom Koehle will be taking on the role of head coach for both the NCAA Division III men’s golf program and the new women’s golf team. Women’s golf was added to Penn State Altoona’s NCAA Division III sport offerings last August and is set to begin intercollegiate play in the 2024-25 season. Koehle brings a wealth of experience to the table with 18 years of coaching under his belt, having led the men’s golf program to numerous championships and postseason appearances.

The upcoming 2024-25 season will mark a significant milestone for Penn State Altoona as women’s golf returns as a full team sport after several years of sponsoring individual golfers at the NCAA level. The schedule for the women’s golf team will be announced later this summer, but one thing is certain – fans can expect exciting times ahead as they follow this talented group of athletes as they take to the course in search of success.
