Howard Hanna/Roy Wheeler Realty has donated $10,000 to UVA Health Children’s through the Howard Hanna Children’s Free Care Fund in order to provide financial support to children and families in need. In 2023, agents from Charlottesville, Zion Crossroads, and Ruckersville worked together to raise funds for this cause.
UVA Health Children’s is committed to providing primary and specialty care in over 30 different specialties across the commonwealth and beyond. The hospital accommodates more than 110 beds, a pediatric emergency department, a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for infants, and a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for children under 18 years of age. The Battle Building at UVA Health Children’s opened in 2014 and offers integrated outpatient care for families throughout the region.
In addition to providing exceptional medical care, UVA Health Children’s also supports the community through events such as winter visits where local agents visit the children’s hospital and decorate it for the holiday season. This partnership is just one example of how UVA Health Children’s is dedicated to expanding services for children and families.
U.S. News has recognized nine specialties at UVA Health Children’s as some of the best in the nation. The hospital’s commitment to improving healthcare for children is evident through their partnership with Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital to establish the UVA Health Children’s Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Care clinic in Albemarle County which will open later this year.
