Ashok Nair has been appointed as the senior vice president and head of sales & business development for the Americas at Waaree Energies. In this new role, Nair will lead sales and business development efforts in the Americas region and manage a multi-gigawatt project portfolio in the US, with over 5 GW already delivered. The company aims to strengthen its position as the largest Indian PV exporter and a top 5 US PV supplier.
Recently, Waaree Energies secured a contract to supply 220 MW of solar modules for Sprng Energy’s upcoming project in Gujarat. As India’s largest manufacturer of solar PV modules, Waaree Energies has an installed capacity of 12 GW as of June 30, 2023. The company is also expanding its operations to the US through its US arm, where it plans to set up a 5 GW solar cell and module facility.
