The World Athletics Race Walking Team Championships will take place in Antalya, Turkey on a 2km looping course near the Expo Centre. The start and finish lines of the races will be located in front of the Expo 2016 Botanical Park. India will have several representatives competing in the men’s and women’s 20km race walk events.
In the men’s event, Akshdeep Singh, Vikash Singh, Paramjeet Singh, Suraj Panwar, Servin Sebastian, Arshpreet Singh and Ram Baboo will be representing India. All these athletes have already met the Paris Olympics qualifying standard. In the women’s event, Priyanka Goswami has also achieved the same qualifying standard.
The Indian team for the event includes a men’s team of Suraj Panwar, Ram Baboo, Vikash Singh, Servin Sebastian, and Arshpreet Singh; a women’s team of Manju Rani, Payal, Pooja Kumawat
