Instagram Stories Gets New Stickers to Enhance Creativity and Collaboration

New Instagram features: hidden posts and music sharing options

Instagram has recently added new ‘stickers’ to its Stories section, offering users unique ways to share their creativity and connect with others through music and images. The platform aims to inspire users to be more creative and collaborative through the use of these new tools.

The update includes four new stickers in Stories, each with its own unique features. One of the standout additions is the ‘Add Yours Music’ sticker, which allows users to create response threads in their stories and propose a collaborative format for others to contribute related stories. With this feature, users can share songs available in Instagram’s library and followers can add their own song by using the sticker after a story is published.

Another tool introduced is the ‘Frames’ sticker, which converts any image into a Polaroid-style frame that followers must shake their smartphone to reveal, mimicking the action of developing a photograph. This feature adds an interactive element to Instagram Stories, encouraging users to engage with their content in a fun way.

The ‘To Reveal’ sticker allows users to publish hidden stories that can only be viewed by sending a direct message (DM) to the user. Users can write a clue about the hidden image and followers must send a DM to uncover the story. This feature does not require user approval of each DM received, making it easy for users to share their creativity with others.

In addition, Instagram has introduced ‘Clippings’, which allows users to turn any video or photo in a reel into a personalized sticker. This feature can be used with content from the device’s gallery or with eligible photos shared by public accounts on Instagram, giving users even more ways to express themselves and engage with their followers.

Overall, these new stickers and features aim to enhance the creative and collaborative aspect of Instagram Stories, providing users with more ways to showcase their talents and connect with others through music and images.
