Iran Issues Warning to “Enemy” with Russian Su-24 Fighter Jets: What You Need to Know

Iran threatens Israel with airstrikes: Fighter jets on standby amid escalating tensions

On Wednesday, Iranian Air Force Commander Brigadier General Hamid Vahedi of Las Forces Airlines issued a warning to the “enemy,” stating that they are prepared with Russian Sukhoi Su-24 fighter jets to “hit targets” if strategic mistakes are made. This statement was seen as a potential reference to Israel and a possible retaliation.

During a speech on National Army Day, Vahedi emphasized their readiness to strike targets, particularly with the Sukhoi-24 aircraft. He cautioned the enemy against making strategic errors that could lead to a strong response from the Iranian armed forces.

The warning comes in the wake of recent tensions between Iran and Israel, with the “True Promise” operation being cited as a limited response to Israeli actions. President of Iran, Ebrahim Raisí, also warned about the consequences of a large-scale conflict with Israel.

Despite the challenges faced by Iran in acquiring new fighter jets due to sanctions, they announced plans to purchase Sukhoi Su-35 aircraft from Russia. However, there has been little information on the delivery of these new units.

The escalating tensions between Iran and Israel highlight the volatile situation in the region, with both sides prepared for potential conflict. The warnings issued by Iranian officials serve as a reminder of the consequences of any strategic mistakes made by the enemy.
