Israel Slams Back at Iran After Unprecedented Missile Attack: Army Warning, Missile Display and Concerns Raised

Israeli Army Warns Iran: Attack on Israel Will Have Consequences

On Tuesday, the Israeli army issued a stern warning to Tehran following an unprecedented missile attack on Israel in response to a strike on its consulate in Damascus. During a media visit to a base in southern Israel, army spokesperson Daniel Hagari declared that Iran would not escape consequences for its aggression. He emphasized that firing 110 missiles directly at Israel would not go unpunished and that Israel would respond at its discretion.

The Israeli army showcased one of the intercepted missiles recovered in the Dead Sea, highlighting its capacity to carry a 500 kg explosive charge. Another army spokesman, Peter Lerner, stated that the sole intention of the missiles was to kill and destroy Israeli lives. He underlined that without interception, the damage would have been immense. Hagari also mentioned the conventional threat posed by Iran in creating a ring of fire around Israel.

Iran’s attack on Israel marks the first direct assault in response to tensions in the region, particularly related to a deadly strike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus on April 1st, attributed to Israel. Israel, with assistance from the United States and allied nations, intercepted nearly all of the drones and missiles launched by Iran against its territory. The incident has escalated tensions in the region and raised concerns about future retaliation and response strategies.
