Jackie Chan Addresses Fans’ Concerns About His Well-Being

Jackie Chan took to Instagram to reassure fans about his health and explain the reason behind his older appearance in recent photos. The 70-year-old actor, who turned 70 on Monday, shared that many friends were concerned about his well-being after seeing him online with white hair, a white beard, and an older look. However, Chan clarified that the appearance was for a character in his latest movie.

In addition to sharing throwback photos from his illustrious career, Chan reflected on turning 70 and being reminded of growing old by friends. He also shared a saying from his big brother, Sammo Hung, about the fortune of being able to grow old, especially for stunt people like themselves. Chan thanked everyone for their birthday wishes and wished for their happiness and health.

Although Chan did not specify which role required him to age up, he is set to appear in the upcoming Karate Kid sequel scheduled for release in December. The movie will feature both Chan and Ralph Macchio reprising their roles from the beloved 1984 original film.
