The St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce has recognized the family-owned business, Jacobs Financial, as the 2024 Family-Owned Business of the Year. The company was founded in 1979 by Jim and Dave Jacobs and has since expanded to include Andy and a team of advisors and support staff.
Jim took over ownership of the business when they moved to St. Cloud, and since then, Dave joined the firm in 2002 after graduating from St. Cloud State University, and Andy joined in 2003. The company now has a total of seven advisors and seven support staff, with plans to add more advisors this year. They are also looking to expand into the Brainerd and Maple Grove areas.
Being a family-owned business changes their mindset at Jacobs Financial, emphasizing the importance of trust when working with clients. They strive to do the right thing not only for their clients but for the community as well. The relationship they have with the St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce has been integral to their success, helping them connect with people, build relationships, find clients and business owners in the community.
