John Deere Unveils Major Investment in Argentina, Boosting Production Capacity for Sprayers and Seeders.

A multinational corporation to increase plant capacity by 50%

John Deere is set to unveil major upgrades at its plant in Las Rosas, Santa Fe, in April. This investment of $15 million will increase the production capacity of sprayers and seeders by 50%, making it a significant milestone for the company. Sergio Fernandez, President of Industries John Deere Argentina, highlighted that this investment is part of an ambitious program implemented by the company in Argentina, which has seen a total investment of over $265 million in the past decade.

The investment at the Las Rosas plant includes new buildings, painting and assembly line improvements, as well as enhancements to processes, systems and logistics. John Deere has been manufacturing in Argentina for more than 65 years and remains committed to supporting production and development in the country. The company’s production activities are spread across three plants that produce a range of equipment including tractors, combines, platforms, engines, sprayers, seeders and carbon fiber bowsprits. John Deere is unique in that it produces all the main equipment necessary for the agricultural production cycle in Argentina.

With over 3,200 direct employees and a network of exclusive dealers and numerous national suppliers, John Deere is a key player in the country’s manufacturing industry. The company is also the main exporting company and employer in the sector. This latest investment underscores John Deere’s commitment to embracing technology and optimizing processes to meet growing demand for agricultural equipment in Latin America.
