Jrue Holiday, the 33-year-old veteran guard, has reached a significant agreement on a contract extension with the Boston Celtics. After declining his $37.3 million player option for the 2024-’25 season, Holiday has signed a four-year, $135 million deal with the team.
Holiday’s journey to Boston began with a blockbuster trade that sent Damian Lillard to the Milwaukee Bucks, ultimately landing Holiday in Portland initially. In his first season with the team, Holiday is averaging 12.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and .9 steals.

With this new contract extension, Holiday becomes the fourth player in NBA history to sign a guaranteed deal worth over $100 million at his age or older, joining LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Al Horford.
