Kansas City Chiefs have just finished the 2023 season with an impressive record of 11-6 and a Super Bowl LVIII win. As they prepare for the NFL Draft, the team has draft picks in every round except for the 6th round. Their picks include No. 32 in the first round, No. 64 in the second round, No. 95 in the third round, No. 131 in the fourth round, and Nos. 159 and 173 in the fifth round (compensatory).
Despite their recent successes, including back-to-back Super Bowl wins, there are still several areas where the Chiefs need improvement going into the draft. The team could benefit from a reliable offensive tackle, more depth on their defensive line, and a replacement for star cornerback L’Jarius Sneed who was traded to the Titans.
In last year’s draft class, Kansas City had a successful pick in Rashee Rice who became their top receiving weapon after Travis Kelce left for Las Vegas Raiders. However, their first-round pick Felix Anudike-Uzomah did not stand out as expected, while third-round pick Wanya Morris only filled in temporarily at left tackle before being released later that year. The team received an A grade overall for their draft class but will be looking to improve this year.
A dream fantasy draft pick for Kansas City would be Texas wide receiver Adonai Mitchell. Mitchell is a tall and vertical receiver who excels in press coverage and has the ability to win downfield against tight coverage conditions. He would be an excellent addition to Kansas City’s receivers room and provide depth behind Rice and Marquise Brown. Mitchell’s talent and potential make him an ideal choice for this year’s draft class.
Overall, Kansas City needs to focus on building up their offensive line and strengthening their defense if they want to continue winning championships into future seasons.

Their current roster has only one starting caliber offensive tackle (Orlando Brown) which leaves them vulnerable on offense when he is injured or out of action.
In addition to offensive tackle depth, they also need more depth on their defensive line as well as replacing star cornerback L’Jarius Sneed who was traded to Tennessee Titans.
