Karlsruhe, Germany to Host The World Games 2029: A Significant Milestone in the Commitment to International Sporting Events

The World Games 2029 to be held in Karlsruhe, Germany

The International World Games Association (IWGA) recently announced that Karlsruhe, Germany will be hosting the 13th edition of The World Games in 2029. This marks the second time that Karlsruhe has been selected to organize the event, with the first one taking place in 1989. Germany has also previously hosted The World Games in 2005 in Duisburg, as well as many other international sporting events.

The decision to appoint Karlsruhe as the host city for The World Games in 2029 was ratified at the Annual General Meeting of the IWGA following a nomination by the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB). Located in the south-western region of Germany, near the French border and at the heart of Europe, Karlsruhe is an ideal location for this prestigious event.

IWGA President José Perurena expressed gratitude towards Germany for their strong commitment to The World Games and for providing excellent conditions for athletes in past events held in Karlsruhe and Duisburg. The upcoming 13th edition of The World Games is expected to attract around 3,000 top athletes from over 100 countries and regions, competing in approximately 35 sports.

This marks a significant moment for Karlsruhe and for Germany as a whole, demonstrating their dedication to hosting major international sporting events.
