The Kentucky Chamber has released its wrap-up of the 2024 Kentucky General Assembly, which includes bill descriptions, priority legislation that passed, a legislative voting record, and more.

Some of the key highlights from this year’s session include the Chamber’s advocacy resulting in $1.006 billion in savings for Kentucky employers, equating to savings of $589 per employee in the Commonwealth. Lawmakers also invested in the Commonwealth’s future in the biennial budget, funding significant priorities such as child care, education, economic development, and infrastructure.

The Chamber successfully advocated for priorities like enacting voluntary paid leave insurance, removing barriers to opening new child care centers, establishing a data privacy framework, authorizing autonomous vehicles, and expanding the signature bourbon industry. Notably, the General Assembly did not pass new sales taxes on business purchases, a top Chamber priority in 2024.
