2024 IFSC World Cup in Keqiao: Important Information and Statistics

The upcoming Keqiao 2024 Climbing World Cup marks the 395th event in the history of the Federation, which includes both UIAA and IFSC competitions. This will be the 40th event organized in China, with only France and Italy having hosted more events. Moreover, the competition will push the total number of Boulder World Cup events to 149.

A total of 136 climbers will be participating in the women’s and men’s Boulder events, with 73 male and 63 female athletes from 33 countries and territories across four continents. Notably, Nasser Abu Ergeeb will be the first athlete representing Kuwait at an IFSC World Cup event, having previously competed in Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 and IFSC Asian Cup Riyadh 2023.

Slovenia’s Janja Garnbret has an opportunity to match South Korea’s Jain Kim with a record of 62 overall World Cup medals. Swiss athlete Petra Kingler will be competing in her 66th Boulder World Cup event, while Fanny Gibert of France and Nonaka Miho of Japan will be participating in their respective competitions.
