The Lebanese army has launched an investigation into the kidnapping and murder of an individual named Suleiman. The security services traced Suleiman’s mobile phone to determine his whereabouts and who he was in contact with. The Lebanese Forces party expressed dissatisfaction with the army’s findings and declared the incident a “political murder until proven otherwise.” Seven Syrians were arrested in connection with the case, including three suspected of murdering Suleiman.
