Jonathan Lass to Join Planning Committee for UT School of Law Technology Law Conference; Jennifer Wertz to Speak on “Technology-Centered Bankruptcy & Insolvency” – Jackson Walker

The 37th Annual Technology Law Conference, hosted by The University of Texas School of Law, will feature discussions led by nationally recognized leaders in technology. The conference will cover a wide range of industry issues such as technology licensing, data privacy, and emerging technology.

Jackson Walker partner Jonathan E. Lass played a key role in the planning committee and as presiding officer for the event. His expertise in technology outsourcing and mergers and acquisitions transactions makes him an ideal candidate to advise both government agencies acquiring mission-critical technology and private sector clients on strategic acquisitions, purchase and sale of businesses and assets, and technology procurement.

Another Jackson Walker partner, Jennifer F. Wertz, will be a presenter at the conference on May 23. Her presentation titled “A Technology-Focused Introduction to Bankruptcy & Insolvency” will provide valuable insights on key bankruptcy and insolvency concepts, including protectionist and opportunistic strategies.

Jackson Walker associate Beau Butler also contributed to the event by co-authoring an article featured in the course materials. This is just one example of how Jackson Walker continues to be at the forefront of legal innovation in the tech industry.

The conference will take place at Hotel ZaZa Austin Downtown on May 23-24, 2024. Interested individuals can view the course brochure to learn more about what to expect from this highly anticipated event.
